Executive Board

Lynda Bell, President, Florida Right to Life Lynda Bell has been married to Mark for thirty-eight years and lives in Tallahassee where they co-teach adult Sunday school. She has three married daughters and twelve grandchildren from six to twenty-six years old. Lynda is president of Florida Right to Life representing the statewide organization as a delegate to the National Right to Life Committee board of directors in which she also serves as Chairman of the NRLC Board. In her capacity as president, she lobbies at the state Capitol to promote and support pro-life legislation. As spokesperson, Florida Right to Life increased exposure on state and national television, radio, in print, and social media educating and debating pro-life issues such as bans on abortion and embryonic stem-cell research, euthanasia, assisted suicide, ultrasound, parental rights, parental notification, the Choose Life license plate, and partial-birth abortion just to name a few. This year Lynda Bell ranked as twenty-fifth in a list of Florida’s 100 Most Powerful Women. Additionally, she also held past public service positions which include six years on the Florida Communities Trust appointed by then-Gov. Rick Scott; and elected as Miami-Dade County Commissioner serving as Vice Chair; and then voted Mayor of Homestead, as the Honorable Lynda Bell, in which she had the distinction of being the first and only woman mayor in their over 100-year history.
